WPR Headline Story - Supreme Court votes down proposal to hire group dynamics expert

Imagine that, Justice Prosser was the largest obstacle to bringing about a plan to rebuild the public confidence in the Wisconsin Supreme Court. Justice Prosser, the subject of two incidents on the supreme court, in the past year, involving violent physical actions on or aimed at females fights to the end to avoid pledging for congeniality. Justice Prosser could not accept the word "pledge" and relented only when the word was changed from "pledge" to "commitment". Pledge has no variables, it means that you will do something. Commitment is a very broad term to describe whether someone is working toward a goal and commitment is open for many interpretations. In other words, Justice Prosser can say he is 'committed" to changing without having to change. If he had agreed to "pledge" to change he would have had to change.

Chief Justice Abrahamson, we encourage you to consider police security whenever Justice Prosser is in the same room with one or more females.

WisPolitics.com: Gov. Walker: Announces Eric Schutt as new chief of staff

Congratulations to the new appointees. While most of us on the outside would be excited to see if some new faces would change the negative tone that comes from the Office of Governor, we have to step back and remember that each of you work for SCOTT "My Way or the Highway" WALKER. That leaves no positive outlook for any of you, but best of luck in any case.

No criminal misconduct found in Nickolaus' actions - JSOnline

No criminal conduct, but that does not excuse her incompetence, not once, but twice in one year. SEPAC still cannot believe that the voters of Waukesha County have total faith in Ms. Nickolaus' abilities. She demonstrated failure and embarrassement of the citizens of Waukesha County, twice in 2011.

Can anyone, after reviewing the list of bills to be taken up in this "special session" count the number of jobs created? It looks more like a legislative session of "oops, I forgot to do this during the last session" scenario.

Roys will be battling each other for the democratic primary for the 2nd congressional district. Both are champions for the working families and organized labor.

"Wis. Supreme Court to discuss recusal proposals" by Latest News -- GazetteXtra

Conservatives continue the practice of "division" even at the Wisconsin Supreme Court level. Because of the division, Chief Justice Abrahamson is proposing changes to how a decision is made as to when a Justice must be recused from a case.

Why it is that "Conservatives" need to operate with an attitude of "my way or the highway" puzzles us at SEPAC. It truly seems that conservatives function solely for the purpose of division. To quote the famous words of a conservative; "You are either with us or against us", President George W. Bush. While that comment of President Bush was appropriate for the moment and the targeted audience, today's conservatives seem to apply that attitude to every situation and/or initiative they introduce.

Panel delays action on voter ID rules | Appleton Post Crescent | postcrescent.com

The worl in Wisconsin has changed so much since SCOTT WALKER became governor. As such, democratic elected officials have to be constantly keeping an open eye on everything WALKER and the FITZGERALD BROTHERS do. Democratic State Senator Lena Taylor is no exception. She made a shot across the bow at a recent JCRAR (Joint Committee on Review of Administrative Rules) meeting stating that she knows the committee majority are trying to make it easier for WALKER to fend off a RECALL.

Walker’s ‘bipartisan’ as long as he gets his way

The title speaks the absolute truth. WALKER is anything you want him to be, so long as he gets his way. He is even an "Education King" so long as you do not ask him if he graduated college or if he dropped out.

GOP Lawmakers Pushing to Make it Tougher to Mount Recall Elections - Brookfield, WI Patch

Recall provisions in the Wisconsin Voting law is a tool to protect the interests of the majority. If you are recalled then it is obvious that the majority of voters wanted the elected official gone. The republicans say the recalls were unnecessary, so was every action that the Republicans took that created the protest and the recall elections.

The republicans say the recalls were costly. Should "Democracy" have a price tag? SEPAC thinks not. Democracy is for the very protection of the citizens of our state and our nation.

Monologues of Dissent: Scott Walker vs "The State of Education": An open letter to Brian Williams

An "open letter" from a viewer to Brian Williams of NBC regarding Scott Walker's participation in a national group discussion regarding how to reform education.

It seems absurd to SEPAC that this under educated individual who has cut nearly one billion dollars from public education and to date given $17 million to "Wisconsin Charter" schools is someone who can provide intelligent and constructive advice on how to "properly" reform education.

Gov. Scott Walker: Schools need more than money to improve

This is absolutely absurd that Scott Walker would take part in and more specifically, be asked to take part in, a national discussion about Education.

This Governor is under educated, has a demonstrated past of little to no respect for the institution of education and even takes away nearly one billion dollars from the public school districts of Wisconsin.

Scott Walker is an absolute pathetic role model for the Institution of Education.

Much-maligned WEA Trust fights back against critics - Leader-Telegram: Front Page

WEA Trust is a provider that can be "trusted".

When some employers or more specific, conservative think tanks make claim that WEA Trust was expensive, it was because they were expensive in their belief of what benefits should be offered to participants. WEA Trust offers great benefits including coverage for a fair amount of dental work, something that you rarely do not see in a health insurance plan today. WEA Trust is able to offer such additional benefits in their health plan because they "are not for-profit". This is a very unique situation in today's health insurance market where WEA trust does not sell its insurance for profit, but rather to charge what it needs to sustain their existence. All other health insurance providers need to sustain their existence AND MAKE A PROFIT...

Lets also not forget, as apparently the two conservative think-tanks in this article did, WEA Trust, if so expensive, how is it they qualify for "Tier 1" of the state insurance plans?

Lawmakers find extra money for private schools as public schools see cuts | Appleton Post Crescent | postcrescent.com

50% of Wisconsinites believe that Walker should not be recalled. How is it that 50% of Wisconsinites cannot see that he and his Administration are stealing from the middle class and the lower-income and the seniors and giving to the "rich"?

The very first thing that the Legislative Thugs did in 2011 was grant hundreds of millions of dollars to the wealthy and corporations in the form of tax breaks and then stole hundreds of dollars each, from the pocket books of public employees to pay for the tax breaks.

Then the Legislative Thugs "TOOK" nearly one billion dollars from our public school systems and increased spending toward the "charter schools" (private schools) by millions of dollars.

This kind of thievery will not end until the workers rise up against Governor Scott Walker and his Legislative Thugs. If the attitudes cannot be changed, then the voters need to change the faces.

Analysis breaks down cost of Wisconsin worker concessions | Appleton Post Crescent | postcrescent.com

Bottom line point to be made is that, there were no negotiations for this wage deduction and it was done without equal or fair impact to the various levels of wages. The actions of Walker and the majority party of the Wisconsin Legislature are just the beginning of their intentions to treat public sector workers as servants rather than employees.

It will get worse before it gets better. Getting better will only occur with the workers once again coming together and rising up against these legislative thugs! Have you REJOINED THE FIGHT?
