Some worry state entering reprisal by recall

With this story you first have to consider who wrote it. The Wisconsin Reporter is a conservative leaning media outlet, so keep that in mind when reading this article. Also, UWL Professor Joe Heim and Rep. Travis Tranel ask, where do recalls end? To us at SEPAC the question is easily answered, when elected officials start representing the interest and concerns of the majority of the people. The Wisconsin GOP is very radical in performance to date. Having said that, credit is due to Rep. Travis Tranel (R-49) who voted NO on the budget repair bill that stripped collective bargaining from public employees. He was one of four Republicans in the Assembly to vote, no.

Civil Servants File New Brief in Federal Public-Sector Unionism Case | National Right to Work Legal Defense Foundation

News from the other side of the aisle, those former union members who thought their wage, benefits, vacation, sick leave, 40 hour work week, weekend off and the list goes on, was given to them by the employer. They ARE NOT team players and rather wish that everyone could fend for themselves.

WPR Headline Story - Law suit aimed at blocking collective bargaining changes dismissed

This does not change anything the Wisconsin Supreme Court decision has already caused. This is just an official dismissal of the case. It does however shed light on the issue of legislators having to comply with their very own "Open Meetings" law. That is an issue that they will need to tackle or eventually the Wisconsin Supreme Court.

When Walker attacked the public employees and took a huge amount of buying power away from them, just how did he expect his sales tax revenue to increase? Walker and the Republicans are slashing all revenue sources, refuse to raise taxes on the rich and have stripped public employees of buying power, there will be no additional revenues, this year and most likely next year.

Democrats begin recall training, kick out reporter

Nice title of a news article written by a right-wing leaning media business. Every organization has the right to decide who can be present at their functions. Several years ago, the Wisconsin GOP told a labor leader that they could not attend their state convention, even as a guest, invited by one of their delegates. It was their right to do that. The media does not have FREE access to everything, even though one can see the need for transparency.

However, the Wisconsin Reporter writes the majority of its news stories leaning to the conservative side of the reader. They are known for that and the DPW was very aware of this and made the call to not allow them to participate in the training. Lets also NOT forget that the reporter was possibly taking up a training seat that someone had to pass up because the seats were full.

The ONLY voice they will achieve from what they have now is to bargaining wages to the cap of the CPI. They are kidding themselves thinking they are gaining anything. They will spend a great deal of money and incur headaches for soemthing they already have, for the most part.

State tells UW System to make additional $65.7M in budget cuts

The Walker Administration is not telling the UW System to cut an additional $65.7 million, they are saying pass $65.7 million onto the backs of the students.

One would think that the Walker Administration is literally trying to push the UW System out from the responsibility of the State. They want the UW System to go private so the state has no responsibility to them.

Not surprisingly that a Governor who has NO college degree would care about an institution of higher learning. Scott Walker is killing our Great State, RECALL WALKER!

These communities are doing what is not needed. They are robbing from the workers to benefit the wealthy of their communities. They are not giving this money back to the taxpayers of their communities, but rather they are spending it else where. That is robbery...

This is a problem that must be stopped NOW. Wisconsin has professionally trained and qualified correctional officers who keep the communities safe by keeping the offenders inside of the institutions walls. Can you imagine the quality of a CO if they were privatized and paid less than $10.00 per hour?

Madison to get $28K less than requested for Capitol security expenses

Did other law enforcement agencies have their bills screened as extensive as Madison PD did? We doubt it. Madison PD was stereotyped by the Wisconsin GOP because they did not apply the "heavy hand" that inexperienced, non law enforcement individuals like the Wisconsin GOP would have liked. Madison PD should have had their entire bill paid.

One point needs to be remembered in all of this, the mean-spirited and thoughtless Wisconsin GOP in secretive tactics unveiled a piece of legislation that would harm tens of thousands of Wisconsinites. What did they expect, everyone to stay home, send email, write letters and hope the Wisconsin GOP would respond to each and every contact, then admit that the majority of Wisconsinites do not approve of what they are doing so they should listen to the Wisconsinites and stop their negative action?

The Wisconsin Republican Party should probably pay the difference owed to Madison PD. After-all, they recruited and educated these heartless republican politician's.
