Is it really so bad? The pension was earned after decades of faithful service and the government agency or school district gets a highly qualified employee to fill the void of the retired person, but do not have to pay for benefits or any additional pension contributions. Also, in some cases, the amount of money earned is capped so that the retiree does not exceed social security caps. Again, is it really that bad?
