Republican recall targets asked a Dane County judge on Tuesday for more time to challenge petitions ahead of a hearing Wednesday morning on the state elections agency's request for more time to certify recall petitions.
Gov. Scott Walker and Lt. Gov. Rebecca Kleefisch, along with GOP Sens. Scott Fitzgerald, Van Wanggaard, Terry Moulton and Pam Galloway, wrote in court filings Tuesday that the 10-day period they are allowed under state law won't be enough time to review the recall petitions and challenge signatures they believe to be invalid.
