I'm a state employe and I've been filling in for 4 people that have retired, transferred or left state service for the last 2+ years. You would think that legislators would appreciate and reward the fact that we did more with less to make it through the biennium. Instead, the plan is that those vacancies will be eliminated.
ReplyDeleteI think that is wrong. We are not meeting the commitments because of the vacancies. The right thing to do is fill the vacancies, not eliminate them.
Failure to do the right thing now will mean more work later to clean up the mess.
i agree with the comment above that vacancies should be filled instead of eliminating.otherwise it will lead to difficult situations and overburden to existing employees.As someone need to complete the pending work
