Don't blame the protesters

Today, DOA Secretary Mike Huebsch estimated (yes, another one of his wild estimates) that the damage at the capitol caused by the protester's is $270,000. Far cry from his original estimate of $7.5 million.

He went on further to say that the law enforcement costs will be around $8.1 million. "Peaceful" protesters cannot be held responsible for the "over reaction" of Governor Scott Walker and Secretary Huebsch. To blame peaceful protesters who did nothing to command such a major police presence is wrong.

It is very possible that if Scott Walker and the Wisconsin Republicans would stop with their outright attacks on Wisconsin Working Families, the poor and the elderly so that the rich in Wisconsin could continue to pay less than their fair share of taxes and the same with corporations then maybe, just maybe, peaceful, honest and good citizens of Wisconsin would not need to assemble in masses outside the capitol.
