On Saturday, August 6th, the Executive Board of AFSCME Council 24 selected SPS Bargaining Unit Executive Board Representative, Dan Meehan to fill the unexpired term of Vice President of AFSCME Council 24. Brother Meehan currently serves as President of AFSCME Local 18 at the Waupun Correctional Institution.
The position of Council Vice President became vacant in June of 2011 after Council 24 Vice President Paulette Feld of AFSCME Local 579 was elevated to the office of Council 24 President after the then, Council 24 President Bob McLinn of AFSCME Local 18 retired from state service.
We congratulate Brother Dan Meehan on his selection as Council 24 Vice President and wish him well in his new responsibility.
