IMPORTANT MESSAGE from U.S. Congressman Ron Kind (D-3)

Last fall, right-wing organizations like Americans for Prosperity (AFP) and the 60 Plus Association poured over $3 million into western Wisconsin in an attempt to buy a seat in Congress. But we the people said no to their corporate interests. It's obvious these organizations will go to any length to win, BUT THEIR LATEST STUNT WENT TOO FAR.

As you probably have heard, AFP recently mailed out misleading absentee applications to Senate districts around the state with a return date that is two days after the election! The mailer also instructed voters to return the application to an address that doesn't exist. This tactic is shameful, anti-democratic, and we must call it for what it is: Voter Suppression.

The elections on Tuesday are going to be close and with this type of illegal campaigning taking place, we need your help right now. Please visit JenniferShilling.com or MooreForWisconsin.com to help here in western Wisconsin. Otherwise, call my campaign office at (608) 782-3444 for more information on how to help in another district around Wisconsin.

To be clear, the correct election date is tomorrow, Tuesday, August 9th. Polls are open from 7am-8pm. Because of the possible confusion, please contact your friends and family to make sure they are clear on when and where they vote tomorrow. If you have questions about polling locations, call the Government Accountability Board at 1-866-VOTE-WIS.

In two days, Wisconsin has the opportunity to make history by sending commonsense Democrats to the Wisconsin state Senate. August 9th is the culmination of months of hard work that started when Governor Walker and his Republican allies attacked Wisconsin values in February and continued with their extreme agenda throughout the year.

The momentum is on our side and these right-wing organizations know it, which is why they are resorting to these shady tactics. We can't let them come into Wisconsin and damage our state's great history of open, fair and honest elections.

Our great state's future is at stake and you can do your part to make sure we put Wisconsin back on the right track.

Warmest regards,

Ron Kind
