Walker Gives OK To $500K For Private Legal Fees | Ashland Current

According to sworn testimony before Congress, Scott Walker said his stripping of collective bargaining from most of Wisconsin's public employees was not about the money. However, he feels the need to spend one-half million dollars defending his action. That is the anticipated cost to date. This legal fight is far from over.

One has to wonder why a Governor does not use his legal team from the Attorney General's office. They have been used in the past by Governor's such as when the Wisconsin State Troopers' sued the State of Wisconsin (Employer) for compensation of thousands of hours of work they were not paid for because the State of Wisconsin, Representetd by the Governor, said they did not deserve that right to compensation. Oh, by the way, the Troopers' won that law suit because, like this Governor, bad decisions were being made against the employees.

Do you wonder why it is that Scott Walker wants or needs "private" legal representation? Is it that his Attorney General does not agree with him in his actions? Is it that Scott Walker has no confidence in his Attorney General or his team of subordinate attorneys? I guess we may never know the truth because like the National Organization of PolitiFact recently researched and discovered, Scott Walker was found to not be telling the truth in 13 statements of the 13 statements that they reviewed.

To be more fair to Scott Walker we will give you a link to the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel PolitiFact where they find a few times that he was truthful;
