According to GAB there is no such thing as an automatic recount.
A candidate has to ask for a recount, and it's free so long as the difference is less than one half of 1 percent.
If the difference is one half of 1 percent and 2 percent, the cost to the candidate is $5.00 per ward. If the difference is more than 2 percent, the candidate requesting the recount has to pay for all of the costs.
According to GAB, a recount cannot be requested until all of the county boards of canvass are in. That would not likely occur until Monday, 04/11 or Tuesday, 04/12.
Candidates then have three business days after the last canvass comes in to request a recount.
