It is known fact, while "Union Members" have lost their homes or suffered massive damage to their property in the wake of the Superstorm Sandy, they still responded to their obligations of helping others facing devastation and unfortunately in some cases, loss of life. These Union Members come from the rank-and-file employees of Public and Private workers.
These same union members are on the job today doing what they can to restore power, water, food and at least some normalcy to people's lives who were in the path of Superstorm Sandy.
Union members from across this great nation and more specifically, AFSCME Members (Public Employees) at city, county and state levels send their prayers and thoughts to their AFSCME Sister's and Brother's impacted by Superstorm Sandy. These same "unionized" public employees stand ready to answer the call for assistance if the "ask" is made.
