Leah Lipska, 29, a state Department of Corrections employee who lives in Mount Horeb, said her monthly house payment is $1,050, nearly half her $2,200 monthly state take-home pay, which will be reduced by $212 because of the additional insurance and pension contributions, she said. Her annual state salary is $38,000.
