AFSCME Council 24 Local 18 President Dan Meehan was recently appointed to the AFSCME Corrections United National Steering Committee.
Read the appointment, in part;
Dear Brother Meehan:
I am pleased to appoint you to serve on the AFSCME Corrections United National Steering Committee. This committee provides leadership to the International Union in addressing the special interests of correctional employees. Your appointment will continue through the 2012 International Convention.
Brother Meehan also serves as an elected representative of the SPS Unit on the council executive board.
