“Welcome rally” to protest Walker and Hopper’s extreme agenda and their attacks on the middle class

Event Date: Wednesday, July 20, 2011

Fond du Lac – Local parents, teachers, public workers and leaders in the community will gather today to protest Gov. Scott Walker’s visit to raise campaign cash for his close ally Sen. Randy Hopper. In town to help fill Hopper’s campaign war chest (Hopper’s cash on hand is nearly half as much as his opponents as of the most recent campaign filings), Walker is coming in to help remind the community that Hopper was a critical part of crafting a state budget that slashes public education, affordable healthcare services while raising taxes on seniors and working families. These cuts were part of a plan to fund tax breaks for wealthy investors and out of state corporations worth millions of dollars.
