As we are gearing up for GOTV, we are reaching out to you as AFSCME leaders and activists with a specific ask.
We need bodies going into the 10th SD volunteering for We Are Wisconsin. We need to get 30+ GOTV shifts filled per day from out of district labor specifically from the Eau Claire and Superior areas.
The idea is that Eau Claire union members go to Menomonie and the Superior members go to Siren. We are asking you to volunteer and to help identify other volunteers that are able to canvass the last 4 days of GOTV (Saturday Aug 6th - Election Day,Tuesday Aug 9th). Labor activism will represent the margin of victory or defeat in this race. Boots on the ground is going to be the deciding factor.
We all know the merits of Shelly Moore and the heartache that has been caused at the hands of Walker cronies like Sheila Harsdorf, now we need to finish the job. This election is not in the bag. It is, however, ours to lose.
Lastly, there is an event tomorrow (Saturday, July 23rd) at 9:30am with the Democratic Congresswoman from Madison, Tammy Baldwin. She will kick-off the weekend canvass from:

If you are unable to walk, we also have a need for drivers for GOTV. People are coming in from all around the country and not everyone will have cars.
